Job Description

Your future role & Job PurposeJob Purpose:The position holder is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all facilities electrical related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.To preserve the function of our physical assets throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences.Key Accountabilities & Working RelationshipsKey Accountabilities: Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards. Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of facilities electrical assets in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair all types of electrical equipment failures including but not limited to 400 Volt systems, emergency diesel generators and ATS, UPS, MCC panels and controls, low voltage motors, DC motors, lighting high mast, process equipment and electronic control system devices in residential and industrial facility. Safely shut down electrical systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Follow up and execute FRACAS recommendations assigned to the zone assets. Supports on-call response as needed. Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System. Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS. Ensure that maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company Procedures Lead activities to move, install, mothball, and reposition electrical and other assets. Safely operate all electrical systems including loads transfers and switching. Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Undertake special projects as required. Contribute to continuous improvement activities. Undertake continuous training and development. Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group. Manage staff, including allocation of duties, competency training, performance evaluation and leave roster and absence.Working Relationships:Internal Interactions: Asset Management SuperintendentsAsset Management SupervisorsAsset Management PlannersAsset Management TechniciansExternal Interactions:Lifting & Rigging Superintendents / SupervisorsM&E Shop Superintendents / SupervisorsProduction/Project ManagersFMSS TeamContractors/SuppliersWho we are looking forEducation:Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience:At least 9-11 years of hands-on experience.Professional Qualifications:Electrical System Operator (ESO) certificate is a plus. IFS practical experience is a plus.Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and/or NEBOSH standards and practicesCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office.Understanding of Health and Safety practicesKnowledge of shipyard assets’ maintenance, repairs, and upgradesUnderstanding engineering, scientific and other technical informationPlanning and prioritizing activitiesAdvanced Problem-solving skillsAbility to present data effectively.Excellent team working skills.Ability to train self and cascade knowledge to others.Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with anawareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.Preferred Saudi national.Languages: Excellent English Skills.About Application Process If you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome your application.
