About the Project Control Manager position

As a Project Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will oversee all aspects of project control, including scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Project Control Manager Responsibilities Are:
  • Responsible for delivery of all aspect of project controls,

  • Play a pivotal role in the execution of contracting and procurement strategies in line with the project scheduling and commercial controls,

  • Oversee the project controls activities of Engineering, Procurement and Construction

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines,

  • Analyze spend v budget schedule and developing mitigation plans,

  • Develop, monitor and review of project schedule and budget / cost estimates,

  • Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules and budgets,

  • Develop and enforce of budgetary and project scheduling guidelines,

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and delays, implementing corrective measures as needed,

  • Coordinate with project teams to gather relevant data and input for project control activities,

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on project status, highlighting key milestones, issues, and recommendations,

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations,

  • Implement best practices and tools for project control, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement,

Project Control Manager Requirements Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field,

  • Proven experience in senior roles in project control within the construction industry, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience,

  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6,

  • Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of Scheduling and Commercial Controls and Costing models, with a proven track record of implementation,

  • Proven track record of project controls with specific project management experience in Major Projects,

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred,

  • Computer literate in cost/schedule control systems,

  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision,

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
