Technical Product Owner - Airline Operations (Flight Operations)

Join us in cosmopolitan Dubai as a Product Owner and make your mark on the aviation world by taking our products to the next level.Technical Product Owner - Airline Operations will act as the bridge between the software engineering teams and your stakeholders and will help to define the vision of the products we create; drive the planning, prioritisation and execution of backlogs and deliver new features that support our strategic goals. You must have a good grasp of the Airline Operations domain with specific knowledge and/or experience of Flight Operations systems, tools and technology that provide capabilities such as Flight Planning, Flight tracking, Flight Charting, Air to Ground connectivity, On-board Performance Management & Compliance Management etc. preferably within a large international airline or a service provider to airlines and/or aviation companies.In This Role, You WillBe a part of our Product community, focusing on collaboration cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, architecture, and business partners, and identifying opportunities of improvement and growth.Be able to analyse business functionality changes and determine features and stories that clearly articulate the full range of amendments/enhancements that need to be done to both vendor and in-house systems.Own the entire lifecycle of the Product and drive product development through your engineering and scrum teamsWrite and refine user stories, prioritise backlogs, manage release activities and support sprint ceremoniesDefine detailed use cases, product requirements, and technical specs needed to support roadmap initiatives.Set product objectives, define success metrics and deliver business outcomes, ensuring KPIs and targets are metContinuously innovate and iterate as you deliver your roadmap in order to provide the best product and solutions possibleDeliver world class user journeys that our customers valueDocument process flows to illustrate to-be states and changes to information flow. Conduct discoveries/feasibilities that potentially lead to RFI/RFT with the ability to manage those to conclusion with detailed vendor evaluations. At times be required to engage, drive and manage vendor priorities and activities pertaining to your prioritised backlog.How You'll WorkIn cross-functional squads - (Product Owner + Scrum Master + Developers + QA’s),We work within the Atlassian suite, maintaining our backlogs in JIRA and leveraging Confluence for knowledge management Customer centric mind-set, the customer is the focal point of delivering products, services, and experiences. Leveraging your domain knowledge and experience to solve complex business problems and support them in achieving their goalsWe’re full time back in office here in Dubai at EmiratesQualifications & ExperienceThis job might be for you if you have: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years’ experience in product ownership/management in a ‘team facing’ capacityWhilst not essential, some experience of working within an agile environment, across multiple initiatives and teamsAppetite for building and identifying value, with a customer centric mind-set.Well-versed with the tools for the Product Management aspects of software deliveryPossess strong communication skills and be able to enthusiastically convey your Product Vision to stakeholders and effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.A positive attitude and an ability to drive discernible change and delivery, at pace, in a pressurised environmentBuild strong relationships with peers and team membersAgile and innovative mind-set with the tenacity to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment.At Emirates Group, we’re committed to providing our employees with opportunities to grow and develop in their careers.
