Join us and leave a legacy of your own, as a pioneer in both the company and the industry.Job DescriptionTo manage compliance-related matters for FAB’s Commercial Banking Group (CBG) within the Corporate, Commercial & International Banking Group portfolio and ensuring that CBG compliance programs are effective.To provide compliance advisory support to CBG management and staff to ensure compliance with prevailing rules, regulations and best practices. This role is a global role and jobholder will be responsible for overseeing Compliance programs for CBG in the international locations where FAB is present and the CBG is engaged.Job Specific AccountabilitiesManage the creation, implementation and monitoring of a CBG Compliance framework and plans that properly address Compliance needs and requirements in line with applicable laws, rules and regulationsProvide regulatory second line of defence assurance, working with counterparts in all lines of defence to provide an end-to-end oversight mechanismProvide timely compliance advisory and support to the CBG business which focuses on small-to-medium sized enterprise (SMEs), providing a full suite of commercial banking productsBuild and maintain productive business relationships with business partners across all of CBG’s product offeringsProvide compliance advice to the business on regulatory developments from all impacted regulatory jurisdictionsAdvise on the rollout and implementation of Group-wide Compliance policies and procedures.Provide proactive business advice on policy initiatives, projects, new business developments and process improvementsAct as the main point of contact for the CBG business for any related matter to Compliance, regulatory matters, and matters of conduct or financial crimeIn particular, support the business in the management of its financial crime risks and risks pertaining to know-your-customer (KYC) and due diligence requirementsLiaise with other Compliance teams, including CCIB Compliance colleagues, Financial Crime Compliance and Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure the business is following the latest regulations and best practiceMaintain and build an effective relationship with the businesses so that effective and proactive escalation of issues is achieved and risk managedSupport the CBG Business in adherence to Group Compliance policies, procedures and processes and assist business management to ensure fulfilment of its regulatory responsibilities.Participate in key compliance initiatives and monitor Compliance-related projects for the CBG businessProduce and review relevant MI and information prior to submission to Governance Committees and senior managementHelp with any matter related to overall management of the CCIB Compliance team.Execute other duties as directed by the CCIB Head of ComplianceQualificationsMinimum QualificationBachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant disciplineCompliance certifications are considered an assetMinimum ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of experience in a reputed bank or any financial institution, with direct exposure to business banking or other small-to-medium enterprise-focused business segmentMinimum of 7 years of experience in Compliance, with a demonstrably strong understanding of financial crime rules, requirements, risks and risk management principlesExcellent understanding of Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates’ (CBUAE) requirements as they pertain to banking small-to-medium sized enterprisesStrong interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skillsExcellent project management and administrative skills.Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workloadFocused on driving tasks to completion with pace, whilst retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
