Job Description

Work on Media Relations particularly on developing communication plans and messages, monitoring media outlets, generating media reports and analysis, building media relations locally and internationally, interview management, and managing media during events.Handle Digital Communications such as website management, social media channels management, digital communication platform enhancement, and digital communications platforms tracking monitoring and analyzing and develop content fit for the different types of channels.Manage Internal Communications through managing all internal communications channels (Intranet, Email, screens, etc..), developing internal communications plans, developing internal communications content and messages, and developing and executing internal employee surveys.Manage and execute all internal project and initiative communication requirements.Support the Manager, PR & Media in the development of a communications strategy (internally and externally), annual communications plan (internal and external) and corresponding activities.Prepare and disseminate newsworthy information regarding SCISP to its stakeholders to ensure all public relations goals and strategies are met, while at the same time helping to maintain a favorable public image for the organization.Coordinate responses to enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations across SCISP’s various communication channels (emails, telephone, tweets, etc.).Maintain relationships with local and international media (audio-visual and print) and seek opportunities for SCISP to position itself positively in the public domain.Develop processes to measure the success of internal and external media channels using appropriate tools.Monitor SCISP’s presence in the media activity, highlighting any issues to the leadership team, along with suggested mitigation activity.Ability to generate various media reports by topic, country, or time frame using available tools.Ability to generate sentiment reports on public perception, analyze data, compare with previous years, and produce takeaway results.Support in reviewing content and designs to assess effectiveness, and give guidance on correct direction.Support with any other media and communication activities or general tasks that may be required by SCISP, as instructed by the Manager, PR & Media.Academic qualifications and experience:Bachelor Degree in Public Relation, Marketing, Communications and/or Business Management or equivalent (Journalism, Mass Media, Advertising)A minimum of 2 years of solid/extensive in content editing preferably in:Diverse/multi-cultural business industry.Multi-national companies.Strategic development, global business development or similar type role.Hands-on generating analytical reports without using agencies.Knowledge:Strong and fluent English language.Strong ability to develop, review, and edit English materials and reports effectively and in a timely manner.Strong Experience in using media monitoring tools and developing reports.Skilled in messaging and story telling to different audiences.Detailed understanding of digital communications and media channels.Strong Project management skills.Strong analytical thinking.
