Job Description
Professional Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or QA/QC roles, with direct exposure to generation, transmission, or distribution projects.
At least 3 years working in an inspection or QA/QS environment involving technical assessments and fieldwork.
Experience conducting inspections at vendor workshops, substations, construction sites, or operational power facilities.
Familiarity with quality and inspection requirements in utility-led or EPC-led projects in the GCC or similar international context.
Technical Competencies
Basic to intermediate understanding of HV/LV equipment (e.g., circuit breakers, CTs/PTs, relays, panels, cabling).
Familiarity with FAT/SAT procedures, electrical functional testing, and quality document reviews.
Awareness of key codes and standards such as ISO 9001, IEC 60076, IEC 62271, and utility-specific quality procedures.
Competent in using inspection templates, forms, and digital reporting tools (e.g., iAuditor, Excel trackers).
Educational Background
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical or Power Engineering.
Formal training in QA/QC or inspection methodologies preferred.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is an advantage.
Additional safety training (e.g., HSE inductions, confined space, electrical isolation) beneficial.
Desirable Skills And Experience
Power Quality (PQ) awareness is desirable, particularly in the context of commissioning support or system performance validation.
Familiarity with QA/QS systems such as Maximo, Aconex, or SharePoint-based inspection platforms.
Experience supporting FATs for complex OEM equipment is a bonus.
GCC-based field inspection experience with organisations such as SEC, DEWA, or KAHRAMAA is highly valued.
Awareness of ISO/IEC 17020 and 17025 compliance requirements is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of QA practices in non-electrical disciplines (e.g.
mechanical or structural) is a plus.
Conversational Arabic is desirable to support in-field interactions and document understanding.

Work Environment and Travel
