The opportunity
To build and grow the GIS Troubleshooting Specialist is responsible for overseeing all activities required to install, repair, and eliminate faults in GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) systems.
This role represents Hitachi Energy's interests globally, ensuring technical excellence, project deadlines, and quality assurance standards are upheld.
The Specialist acts as Hitachi Energy’s technical ambassador at installation sites, maintaining client satisfaction while adhering to project schedules and cost-efficiency targets.
How You’ll Make An Impact
The GIS-Supervisor is responsible for the installation work entrusted to him being carried out in perfect technical order
He carries out installation and maintenance work independently
He is responsible for ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and Instructions &ensures that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed; specifically, he abides by the guidelines for work on live system components.
Shall be responsible to red-mark drawings/documents with any changes or modification that became necessary during the installation.
Advice the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the work force necessary to comply with the schedule.
Cooperation with HE Project Manager on establishing status of completed and non-completed work
Inspection of arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordination of material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers Material Control within sub-supplier's procedures.
Issue of non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within HE scope of supply in cooperation with HE Project Manager
Supervise final installation tests and ABB installation completion documentation
Supervise and coordinate the loop check activities & Participation at site meetings as requested by the HE-CH Project Manager
Responsible for the competence execution of his tasks.
Employee shall also carry out any tasks that are assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 8+ years’ experience with GIS systems.
Hands-on experience with SF6 gas handling.
Familiarity with Hitachi Energy GIS products
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Job Requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience with GIS systems.
Hands-on experience with SF6 gas handling and familiarity with Hitachi Energy GIS products are also required.
