Deliverables
Design original 2D characters including protagonists, bosses, and supporting cast
Create boss designs that visually reflect their unique abilities and roles in gameplay
Develop concept art and character sheets for use in animation and gameplay integration
Craft the overarching narrative, dialogue, and lore of the game in collaboration with the developer
Ensure the story and characters align with the themes of African mythology without reliance on AI-generated content
Strong portfolio demonstrating original art styles and character development
Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, or Procreate
Experience in writing or narrative design for games, with ability to structure engaging storylines
Knowledge of mythology, folklore, or culturally inspired storytelling (African mythology experience is a strong plus)
Ability to collaborate on gameplay integration, ensuring story and character align with mechanics
Strong communication and time management skills for remote collaboration
Mid-level experience with interest in indie game development projects preferred
