That is why we bring a thoughtful and collaborative approach to every one of our partnerships.Jacobs is supporting a Government organisation to help modernize and develop its communications network and part of this strategy is the implementation of a Nationwide Fibre Network. This includes the supply, installation and design of fibre optic projects at multiple locations (Central, East and West) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Experience / Skills Provide SME advice on Electrical Engineering standards (both local @Saudi@ and UK) to client Civils, Project Managers and Ministry of National Guard Signal Corps (MNG SC) throughout the project lifecycle (SCS Transformer and switchgear replacement project). Technically assure the design documentation provided by the supplier. Technically assure the installation of equipment and working practices of the supplier throughout the project. Review and advise on the extant Safe Systems of Work documentation and processes. Liaise with the UK MOD, O&M regime, MNG and supplier ensuring all the required roles and responsibilities are in place, and that at all times the extant local and UK standards are adhered to. Act as the single point of contact for Electrical Engineering and technical assurance advice for MOD & MNG. Ensure that the below standards are adhered to throughout the life of the project, including but not limited to Saudi Building Code – Electrical (SBC-401) Requirement for Electrical Installation, IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition (BS76712018) MOD Management of health and safety in Defence high risk activities on the Defence Estate, Electricity (JSP375, Volume 3, Chapter 3) Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies (IEC 61439-12009) SEC Specifications 53-SDMS-01, SEC-02-01, 32-SDMS-01 & 11-SDMS-03 Participate in System Acceptance Tests as per the Acceptance Test Plan (ATP), providing sign off from a Electrical Engineer Technical Assurance Lead perspective. Undertake tasks as directed by client SO3 Civils and Project Managers. Provide project support and SME advice on the MOD Villa Electrical Testing specifically on how to resolve P1 and P2 faults within Kingdom Non-SEC Power Project Assisting with writing scope of works for each site, contribution to ROM costings, assist/attend site visits Generic Civils Team SME support and advice Experience with medium/low voltageHere’s What You’ll NeedWhat you’ll need Be present at the client site 5 days a week 3-month secondment; may go to 12 months dependent on client KSA experience The post-holder will be educated to Bachelor’s degree level or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline.
