In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for key industrial equipment, including Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves used in the mining industry.The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical engineering background, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work independently in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver on-site support during installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure long-term performance and reliability.Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Project Management, to resolve complex technical issues.Support the sales team by identifying aftersales opportunities and advising on new equipment needs.Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, upgrades, and customer interactions.Perform safety checks, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.Provide technical training to customers to ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.Minimum of 5 years of field service experience, preferably in the mining or cement industries.Hands-on experience with maintenance, repair, and inspection of industrial equipment, particularly Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves.Strong understanding of mechanical systems; knowledge of control/automation systems is a plus.Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and best practices.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in field environments.Experience with technical report writing and documentation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).Willingness to travel frequently across the region to support customer needs.Other RequirementsValid passport and driver’s license.Ability to travel on short notice, including international travel if required.Flexible working hours depending on project and site requirements.What We OfferAs an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
