JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position



Summary



As Finance Manager you provide broad strategic financial and analytical expertise and perspective to generate insights, set objectives and drive a sustainable and compliant business. You are a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen who can leverage this deep understanding of financials to guide decision-making, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the affiliate and the Middle East.
You will be a member of the leadership team in KSA, lead the Finance team, and be an active player in the transformation journey.

Your Responsibilities



Finance



Proactively identify key challenges and opportunities and assess their impact on the organization. Anticipates industry trends and potential business opportunities and risks; generating meaningful market insights, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the affiliate
Stimulates an environment to support smart experiments, rapid iterations, ruthless prioritization ensuring ability to scale
Leads Finance to provide actionable information for decision making and performance monitoring
Evaluates customer deals and deal monitoring
Formulates financial targets and budgets, and guides the business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information
Engages with business partners in crafting and executing value enhancing decisions through business performance ensuring ambitions and commitments to the region are met
Effectively networks and collaborates across borders to build a strong relationship beyond Finance to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers
Ensures quality of financial transactions recording and reporting both to the Group and for the statutory purpose
Ensures control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems
Formulates and implements internal controls
Is accountable for the preparation and audit of the annual accounts
Drives process standardization, automation and integration with all relevant parties

People Management



Leverages VACC leadership principles to enable diverse team to contribute to organizational and enterprise outcomes
Hires, develops, and leads employees and third-party partners who will contribute to the local operations.
Establishing clear accountabilities, delegating and fostering decision-making within the local organization.
Promoting teamwork and transparent communication at all levels, sharing clear performance expectations, fostering feedback and open two-way communication, ensuring coaching and individual development plans for all employees.
Consistently demonstrates the Roche Core Competencies and People Leadership Commitments.
Provides feedback and conducts performance reviews of employees.
Shapes and implements the new ways of working for the team, whilst contributing to the affiliate transformation journey

Who You Are



You hold an MSc degree in Finance or Business Administration. An MBA is an added advantage but not a prerequisite
You are a qualified member of an accountancy body (Chartered accountant) or holder of an equivalent qualification
You have a strong financial and accounting background, and deep understanding of Business and Commercial Operations
You have strong analytical skills, an outstanding business acumen and strategic agility
You have mindset and behaviors consistent with the role of leaders in agile organizations, characterized as Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst
You have strong leadership experience and a proven track record of at least 7 years in a managerial position. You have worked in a multicultural environment. Knowledge of Middle East region and previous experience in a similar role is an asset
You are able to create a bold, shared vision and higher purpose for the entire network. And capable of enlisting colleagues in the network to advance the vision
You have solid entrepreneurial, influencing and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to get things done without authority, highly adept at identifying solutions that will meet the needs of all involved parties and enable change
You give high priority to creating clarity and focus, removing of anything that gets in the way
Be a coach, and be coached, you help everyone in the network to build the skills and mindsets they need to succeed in an open system.
You are well structured, self-motivated, and proven track record of building strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders

You preferably worked in an international


In-Vitro diagnostics company
You have strong English communication skills both spoken and written English. Arabic is considered a plus
