Job DescriptionPosition : Maintenance Automation TechnicianOrganization Function : Electrical MaintenanceCountry : QatarLocation : MesaieedManager: Sr. Supervisor – Electrical MaintenanceContext Purpose Performs the corrective, preventive and ameliorative maintenance of the equipment in compliance with the objectives developed and set in quantity, quality and delays. He applies security, environment and prevention rules within his work environment.Areas of responsibilityProficiency in programming and Trouble shooting in Siemens PLC system – S7, TIA softwareStrong knowledge of special Siemens PLC programming techniques and best practicesAttend the breakdown in the machineInform in advance to the Supervisor about any spares which is required to solve the machine problemAttending breakdowns not limited to AutomationInspect the utilities on a regular basis and maintain the logbook for the sameAttend breakdown of communication protocol on various machines.Maintain the shift report on a daily basisRaise a memo for any spare parts to be issued from the store for the machineMake a logical approach Mechanically and Electrically to solve the problem in the machine and inform Supervisor accordingly if it is beyond their level.Write clear instruction for the next shioft for any pending job in a logbookReport to Maintenance SupervisorExpected resultsInspect, monitor and check equipment and ensure its conformity (availability and performance)Continuously monitors physical indicator to know the situation in his perimeterRegularly note signs of malfunctions or abnormalitiesPosition sizingRequired Skills And QualificationsCompetenciesMaintenance Planning and MonitoringApplication of StandardsContinuous ImprovementSubcontracting and Outsourcing ManagementDeployment and monitoring of key indicatorsTeamworkLeadership and managementCustomer SatisfactionExperience3-5 years of Electrical Automation Field Experience , preferably from cable Industry.EducationDiploma ITI Electrical/ Electronics TradeRequired Skills And KnowledgeMust have expertise and proficiency with the basic office Computer softwaresMust have ability to work effectively with CMMSGood Communication Skills (Written, Spoken)Basic Knowledge of Siemens PLC – S7 FamilyBasic Knowledge of the field devices like water level controller, proportional valve etc.Good troubleshooting and hands on experience for cable manufacturing machineriesGood knowledge of convertors and frequency driversAbility to find out the root cause of the problem and ability to resolve itGood knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic system
