Job Description
Revenue and Billing Manager at Checkout.com
Checkout.com's Finance department is looking for a hands-on professional who can provide experienced support to the Global Revenue and Billing team. Having a proven ability to work with minimal day to day supervision, the successful candidate will need to be an independent high achieving business partner who can stand out in an entrepreneurial environment. This role is an excellent opportunity to further improve existing knowledge and skills around payments, billing, credit control, month end close and stakeholder management.
How you’ll make an impact
Own the creation and review of robust excel based-financial models used for calculating complex revenue streams and ensure accuracy of records in the financial statements at month end
Run existing day-to-day functions of the MENA Billing department (note: this is not a pure credit collections role, 60% of the role will be focused on creating bespoke financial models for the function, the rest will involve process improvements and stakeholder management)
Oversee distribution of invoices, credit notes, SOAs, ensuring completeness and accuracy while working to the month end close timelines
Develop billing and revenue recording processes for new products and partnerships
Coordinate MENA billing processes, ensuring alignment with the rest of the entities in the group
Be the key point of contact for the MENA Commercial and Financial Partnership teams for escalations from banks and merchants
Ensure queries are dealt with effectively and timely within specified SLAs.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of MENA account receivable balances while also managing the collection of outstanding debt
Continuously identifying opportunities for system and process enhancements
Implement written policies and procedures that govern Billing department in alignment with global practise
Support with audit and regulatory reporting within specified SLAs.
Any other finance activities as required by business needs from time to time .
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and ability to work through problems logically
Excellent financial modelling skills (60% of the role will be focused on creating bespoke financial models for the function)
Experienced Billing manager capable of running a team
Experience with a large customer base, high transaction volume
Excellent knowledge of Excel (mandatory), experienced in managing large datasets
Experience working with big data in large complex organisations
Experience with payments industry desirable (not mandatory)
Proven track record of improving processes and adding efficiencies
Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast paced work environment
Experience with credit control and collection processes
Experience partnering with non finance stakeholders
Ability to communicate in Arabic desirable (not mandatory)
