Phygrid, an Ombori company, is hiring a QA Lead to work in Dubai.

We are creating the market leading Store Digitalization Platform to power the best in-store shopping experiences for customers and empower employees.

We bridge a wide range of IoT devices, AI and machine learning powered cognitive services with touch screens and mobile phones to create solutions that are memorable, easy to use, and delight our customers.

Your Role Will Involve the Following:
• Developing a comprehensive testing strategy that focuses on both software and hardware components, with an emphasis on solutions for the retail sector.
• Determining quality assurance parameters for products, tracking product quality metrics, and providing reports.
• Defining, prioritizing, and executing tests to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
• Designing and implementing automated E2E tests in collaboration with the technical team.
• Exercising leadership qualities by mentoring junior QA staff and establishing exemplary QA best practices.
• Collaborating with a cross-functional development team to ensure that all aspects of quality are actively discussed and addressed.
• Accelerating the pace and quality of releases by advising on tools, coverage, and frameworks to enhance accuracy, repeatability, and scalability.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:
• Experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in testing solutions that involve both software and hardware.
• A background in solutions tailored specifically to the retail sector.
• Knowledge of the best QA practices, such as ISTQB fundamentals or similar.
• Coding skills sufficient for performing automation tasks in languages like JavaScript and Bash.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
• An analytical mindset and a passion for creating documentation, reports, and scenarios.
• Physical presence in Dubai to conduct hardware testing in the office.

We’d Love It If You Also Had:

• Familiarity with Azure services or other cloud platform providers.
• An understanding of continuous integration and DevOps concepts.
