Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort of Dubai is a magnificent tribute to Dubai’s heritage. The resort comprises of three grand boutique hotels: Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Jumeirah Al Naseem and a collection of 29 traditional summer houses know as Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf. In addition, there’s seven exclusive Malakiya Villas, over 50 world-class restaurants and bars, a traditional souk, 3km of waterways with abras, a leading conference and banqueting centre, 2km of private beach, the award-winning Talise Spa and the Talise Fitness health club. About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Food and Beverage Manager to join the Food and Beverage Administration team of Jumeirah Al Qasr. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are: Assists in the co-ordination of organizational and administrative functions in all areas of the food and beverage department. Assists in planning and implementing programs, policies and procedures to ensure that Madinat Jumeirah standards are met. To ensure that the departmental objectives are cascaded to the colleagues. Administrational Assists in establishing standards of performance and job descriptions of service colleagues. Assists in the co-ordination of special promotions and provides administrative support necessary. Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the resort. Provides creative ideas to project and enhance the image of the resort. Ensure up-to-date hard copies of department SOPs are maintained at all times. Operational Carries out assignments and instructions as delegated by the senior management, ensuring that all company and resort policies and procedures and minimum standards are adhered to. Interacts with management of other departments within areas of responsibility and develops solid working relationships with them. Assists in conducting briefing with outlet managers. Meeting and interacts with representatives of the local community and potential guests as required. Assists in monitoring the activities of competitor resorts. Assists outlet managers to fulfil their responsibilities. Financial Participates in the preparation of the annual business plan and sales and marketing plans. Monitors closely the profitability of all food and beverage outlets. Provides solutions to improve problem areas and assists in implementing corrective measures. To assist in ensuring that each outlet is individually profitable. To follow up and at times initiate maintenance orders and purchase requests.Assists in the development of ideas and the increased department sales of food and beverage to improve productivity. To assist each outlet manager in the planning and implementation of effective sales and promotional activities to ensure maximum revenues. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: A minimum of 1 year experience in a senior F&B management role within a luxury hotel, preferably in a large, multi-faceted 5-star environment, either within a corporate established group or a free-standing establishment.Demonstrated ability to drive highly dynamic operations, overseeing a diverse range of 12-17 units concurrently.Strong passion, creativity and innovation in food and beverage concepts and operations.Track record of demonstrable achievements in enhancing guest satisfaction scores and profitability.
