Role Summary
- The Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategic plans and activities and is expected around 70% of their time in external engagements.
- Key responsibilities include cross-functional strategy collaboration and execution, building trust with the medical/scientific community, facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific exchange, and providing asset issue resolution support.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities
- Develop and execute country medical affairs plan for bacterial infections, CMV & fungal infections.
- Translates Global Medical Goals and Strategies into tactics and solutions that support optimal scientific exchange aimed at helping improve patient outcomes and enhancing access.
- Builds trust with the external scientific community via peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research, and educational collaborations, as well as interactions with scientific societies, health organizations.
- Provides non-promotional, balanced, and reliable scientific information following company standards and local regulations.
- Leads country Group Input Meetings and consolidates actionable medical insights to inform company strategies.
- Construct & execute valuable scientific educational activities to position our Company as a scientific partner to the scientific community.
- Supports Clinical research activities for Global & local studies.
- Identification of appropriate local sites/investigators for clinical research programs.
- Conducts medical training to the Commercial, Access, Sales & Regulatory functions.
- Provides access support as needed (pre-license patient access).
- Ensures timely reporting of adverse events & assists local Pharmacovigilance team in assessment & completion of required data for optimal reporting.
Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
- MD, PhD in life science or PharmD.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferably experience in Medical Affairs department / Infectious Disease & General Medicine therapeutic areas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills
- Excellent Communication Skills & ability to engage with Scientific Leaders in a confident high level scientific rapport.
- Strong Scientific background & understanding of Medical Affairs.
- Arabic & English Fluency.
- Good utility of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
