Job Description Summary



In this role, you will perform the daily operations of Grid Automation integration facilities to ensure reliability and consistency on the plant activities covering all functions. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
The Plant Leader will be part of the Grid Automation business and responsible for customer focus management, stakeholder management with excellent technical expertise in manufacturing and integration facilities. Comprehensive knowledge of the Middle East & North Africa clients and requirements related to finished products being delivered to customers in the Saudi, Bahrain, and Pakistan markets

Roles and Responsibilities



Responsible for overall operational management & site facilities management of plant in Al Khobar and Jeddah, KSA. Strictly apply EHS policy for fixed facilities. Conduct Genba Walks and promote EHS culture for all team. Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention. Budgeting & Forecasting of annual production plans based on ongoing projects, business forecast and market plan on a timely basis. Planning of manpower, platforms and materials requirements based on annual plan and closely monitoring the spent and managing the inventory in plant scope. Warehouse management, ensuring inventories are kept as per required levels and optimizing the stock for plant scope. Manage resource planning and workload of the team to ensure 95% and above billable ratio. Analyse skill matrix, competency gaps and address people development needs through proper training and development plans for facilities staff. Ensuring quality standards are maintained as per customer requirements defined in the project Quality plan. Monitoring and controlling of complete integration activities up to delivery of finished goods, reporting plant KPIs as per business operating rhythm. On Time delivery (OTD) of the finished goods as per the project requirements. Alignment of targets with business goals and objectives defined for the cluster and region. Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) deployment for the plant facilities, monitoring its progress, on time completing the CAPEX projects, in line with ROI and targetted schedule. Improve operational efficiency of plant e.g., implementation of Lean, 5S, Standards Works, process improvements. Liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary teams across cluster & region. Working with stakeholders for securing pre-qualification with utilities/industrial customers for the product portfolio (RCP, SAS, Telcom, LCC, Metering Panels and newly planned products) as needed Be involved in discussions with multiple functions and teams about the quality improvement in processes, procedures, and ways of working towards Standard Works. Work closely with Sales/Tendering team to support new opportunities preparation and negotiations. This includes conducting feasibility studies and deals estimations and delivery schedule.

Required Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or Industrial Production/Manufacturing Engineering. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in electrical Transmission & Distribution industry with strong knowhow and exposure to substation automation, protection, telecom & APM. 5 years out of 15 relevant experience in international activities for multi-disciplinary projects with a sound appreciation of the technical and contractual requirements of the project e.g. Protection & Control for Substation Control System, Telecom, Monitoring & Diagnostics Projects in the region. Exposure to the Services/Aftersales activities in Cluster. Demonstrated active risk management and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Robust Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with which to facilitate project tracking and communicate project status and issues. Comprehensive knowledge of GE Aftersales/Applications procedures, FSE tools and active usage of all required tools on a timely manner Fluent in English, with advanced communication soft skills. Ability to lead, manage and organize multiple teams and activities, as well as required staffing, development, and training plan for different teams. Skills in planning, resource management, financial and legal/contractual aspects of project management Ability and willingness to travel across the cluster without limitation.

Desired Characteristics



Master’s degree in manufacturing engineering or industrial production is advantage, but not compulsory. Arabic language is a plus.
