Job Description

The Gleeds business in Africa has enjoyed much success and growth in recent years, and we are looking to recruit a Deputy Project Manager with experience in construction projects in one or more of the following sectors. [Industrial Projects, OR Top notch residential, OR Hospitality, OR shopping malls]. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Positively engaging with project stakeholders following the project management plan.Managing projects to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.Producing and presenting reports to Customers.Assist the project manager in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects.Assist in developing and managing project schedules, milestones, and timelines.Identify potential project risks and work with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies.Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide regular project updates.Contribute to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process.Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, teams, and subcontractors.Assist in resolving project issues and challenges, ensuring smooth project progression.Help maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.Provide support in making informed decisions for project success.About The CandidateThe successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the project lifecycle with previous experience in managing the construction phase processes and site activities.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields; Post graduate degree is a plus.5+ years of proven experience in delivering project management services in major construction projects and frameworks. Professional certifications and affiliations will be considered for different positions where it complements the role’s responsibilities.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must.Demonstratable leadership and problem-solving skills are mandatory to demonstrate. About The CompanyBe part of the extraordinaryEvery day at Gleeds, we influence the way people around the world live, work and travel.
