DevOps Engineer

DescriptionObjectives:Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions.Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement.Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure.Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.Identify technical problems and suggesting solutions.Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes.Responsibilities:Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.Create sustainable systems and services through automation and upliftsBalance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives:Deploy updates and fixes and provide Level 2 technical support.Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience.Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.Develop scripts to automate visualization.Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline4 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering roleExperience with cloud environments (Preferably AWS)Experience with KubernetesProactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Proficiency with Git, CI/CD (Preferably Gitlab)Good knowledge of bash or PythonProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spirit
