Understands customer and market needs, translates these into resin requirements/specifications, and works with cross-functional groups to frame these into value-added opportunities.Investigates and resolves customer complaints regarding product performance or quality with a long-term focus on manufacturing excellence. Initiates and manages value-added product and application development projects in collaboration with other functions including Business, Product Development and ManufacturingSupports profitable product line growth through customer qualifications of new, improved or existing products. Ensure the alignment of innovation project with AFMEI business strategy, supply source strategy and LYB innovation platforms and support execution of other innovation programs in the region with trials and approvals. Establish good network with key stakeholders including customers, machinery manufacturers, Brand owners and industry forums to homologate and promote LYB grades thereby creating pull from the market/customer. Participates in and / or leads various activities related to LyondellBasell’s product stewardship protocolPrimary Internal and External Touch PointsCustomer: Technical Management and Engineers, Manufacturing Management and Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Regulatory Compliance Officers, Senior Business Management, and Line OperatorsInternal: Marketing Managers, Account Representatives, Product Safety Consultants, Specifications Management Consultants, Operations Planners, Supply Chain Representatives, and direct counterparts in the EU, US and Asia-PacificIndustry Associations and Regulatory Bodies: Legislators, Standards Groups and other Industry expertsVendors and suppliers to the plastic Extrusion and molding industries Min. QualificationsWork Experience: The candidate must have at least 10 years of work experience in the Polyolefin industry and must be able to establish excellent customer relationships, be an effective communicator (both written and oral) and have an advanced level of technical competency.Additional Skills / ExpectationsCustomer focus, results orientation, technological orientation, communication, problem solving, project management and decision making skills are essential for this position. Previous Experience in a customer facing role. In addition, knowledge of PE and PP, associated applications, and conversion techniques such as extrusion, molding and lamination are essential for this position.
