As well, we are faster and more flexible in meeting customer requirements.Job Summary:As an Engineer 1 in the Munitions Department at Halcon, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team dedicated to the development, design, research, testing, and production of cutting-edge missiles and weapons. This role demands a strong and proven technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to advancing the capabilities of our defence systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the successful execution of projects that ensure Halcon remains at the forefront of innovation in the defense industry . Key Accountabilities: Research and Development: Lead and contribute to the research and development activities in the Munitions Department, focusing on advanced missile and weapon technologies. Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance and capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into the design and development process. Provide support to the team and management as required; Testing and Evaluation: Plan, execute and assist comprehensive testing protocols for missiles and weapons, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards and project specifications. Analyse test data, identify anomalies or deviations, and work with the team to implement corrective measures. Participate in live-fire tests and evaluations to validate the performance and reliability of developed munitions. Elaborate test reports, and provide feedback to management as required; Project Management: Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any challenges, and proposing solutions to ensure successful project completion. Understand the project management structure; Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation throughout the development process, including design specifications, test plans, and project reports. Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing project outcomes, findings, and recommendations. Contribute to the preparation of documentation required for regulatory compliance and certification processes. Experience & Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineer, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Optional Master's degree. Previous experience in engineering field, R&D or manufacture industry with a minimum of 3 years experience. Understanding of munitions engineering principles, aerodynamics, and propulsion systems is a differential Proficiency in using engineering software and simulation tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to execute the work without supervision and delivery on time, understanding schedule and priorities; Able to understand risk and perform risk management; #HALCON
