Job Description
- Safety Leadership: Provide strong leadership in safety and promote a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to safety in all actions and decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company HSE policies and procedures. Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification to anticipate and mitigate potential workplace hazards. Develop and implement control measures to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and knowledge of safety practices. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and other educational sessions to promote safe work behaviors and empower employees to take ownership of their safety.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-miss events. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences. Maintain accurate incident records and reports.
- Auditing and Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with HSE standards and identify areas for improvement. Provide recommendations and follow-up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response protocols. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate resources and equipment are available in case of emergencies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Act as a liaison between the company and external parties on HSE matters. Communicate HSE performance, initiatives, and goals effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HSE Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in Pharma Industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in conducting HSE training and developing educational materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certified OSH Proffisional by Saudi Labor Law - Occuptaioal Safety and Health Profession.
