The JENA Finance Manager, reporting to the Head of Finance, ensures financial data reliability, business support to Management, risk and opportunities identification.
The main mission of the Finance Manager JENA is to provide financial indicators to management to evaluate the performance compared to the objectives and set up corrective action plans if necessary.
In addition, this role must ensure that compliance rules (SoX, HCC, HCBI) are properly in place and followed.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering:
• Liaising with the JENA Commercial Teams to provide proactive and innovative solutions to achieve mutually agreeable business objectives.
• Continuous improvement in methodology of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the team and processes.
• Cost efficiency initiatives, ROI analysis etc...
• Distributor management
Planning & Forecasting:
• Responsible for complete and accurate brand spend forecasting.
• JENA sales forecasting and reporting.
• Follow up of expenses with business partners on a monthly basis
• Evaluate business cases from the standpoint of profitability and budget as well as participate in the pricing of new products to ensure proper profitability.
• Ensure proper mapping in place, and consistency between actual and plan account allocation.
• Effectively partner with the Commercial Team to consolidate and analyze the data received for Business Plan purposes.
• Update and submission of Business Plans to EM / EMEA region
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
• Key point of contact for reginal submissions and analytics.
• Consolidating monthly LAT based on expected supply chain volumes, and highlighting main drivers, risks and opportunities
• Preparation and analysis of all internal reports on a timely and accurate basis.
• Responds to ad-hoc analysis requests from local & EMEA management on a timely basis.
Closing activities:
• Conduct monthly OPEX & Sales variance analysis for actual vs. plan & prior year, elaborating the key drivers for the variance and the effect of FX on the financial results in monthly, quarterly & annual close.
• Review of NTS accruals
• Follow up on OPEX accruals.
• Follow up sales force incentives.
• Prepares P&L by country / products.
Technology:
• Understand interdependencies among financial systems and ensures accuracy and consistency of data.
• Be a key stakeholder to facilitate implementation of new systems in JENA.
• Drive a change management mentality. Organizational Readiness & Engagement in AI planning and systems.
Compliance:
• Liaise with the MEWA Compliance Manager to ensure implementation of all policies and procedures.
• Drive a culture of compliance in the complex JENA organization.
• Comply with local laws & HCBI guidelines, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Policy on Business Conduct (PBC) and Clinical Trial Conduct (CTC).
• Report Adverse Events and product quality complaints as per J&J Pharmacovigilance guidelines on timely basis.
Projects:
• Provide financial inputs in various projects as required.
• Key point of contact for Finance for strategic initiatives in the region.
Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge Required
• Education: University degree in business administration, finance/ Accounting.
• Years of Experience: Ideally candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in Finance. Previous experience working in a multinational company is required. Experience in the Pharma industry would be recommended.
• Language: English, Arabic.
