Our Finance department would like to welcome a detail-orientedGroup Financial Controller in our office in Dubai Responsibilities Lead the accounting and reporting function across the Equiti Group and ensure adherence to all accounting standards across all businesses and jurisdictions Lead and develop the monthly ledger close and Group reporting process into a mature, standardized function Develop a strong control and substantiation function across the Group, and implement standardization and efficiency across Country Finance teams Work closely with Group Head of FP&A on all stakeholder reporting requirements such as management accounts, board packs, budgets, forecasts, valuations and other reporting and ad-hoc requirements Manage the annual external audit and statutory reporting including the Group Finance team’s preparation of all financial reports and information Expect a leading role and ownership on Finance initiatives and such as revenue control, transfer pricing, taxation, accounting systems, finance transformation, etc. GFC will be (or become) an expert in the company’s ERP system SAP and eventually play a leading role in the strategic direction of Equiti Group’s accounting architecture and technology stack Incorporate new businesses into the accounting and reporting structure of Equiti Develop Group reporting processes as required and drive efficiency in process Manage a small team (1~2) with scope for increase as the role develops into a senior leadership role in Group Finance Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail is critical to this role Drive and enthusiasm for change is a must Strong control mindset is a given Strong analytical and technical accounting (IFRS) skills Ability to work well both independently and in a team High professional standards, questioning nature and ready to challenge where necessary Experience Requirements Qualified Accountant with minimum 7 years PQE Financial services experience, ideally in a brokerage will be highly regarded Demonstratable SAP (or other ERP) experience will be highly regarded Audit background will be highly regarded Experience of working in a group reporting function and having prepared group consolidated accounts is important Strong understanding of multi-currency and foreign exchange is desirable Perks Each of our offices has its special perks; be it ‘no ties’, free lunches, charity events, or a hybrid work policy – but whenever you walk into an Equiti office, you’re sure to see a friendly face.
