Job Description

Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directlyYou will be responsible for conducting inspections of refinery equipment, facilities, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of refinery operations, safety protocols, and inspection techniques.Key Responsibilities:Perform regular inspections of refinery equipment, including pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and other process components, to identify potential defects, corrosion, or other issues.Review inspection reports, maintenance records, and other documentation to assess the condition of refinery assets and recommend corrective actions as needed.Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance deficiencies, and work with refinery management to address these issues.Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, including emissions controls, wastewater management, and hazardous waste handling, and report any violations or concerns to appropriate authorities.Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to develop inspection schedules, prioritize maintenance activities, and ensure timely completion of required repairs and upgrades.Keep abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to refinery inspection and maintenance.Prepare inspection reports, documentation, and presentations for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Certification in inspection techniques or related areas preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in refinery operations, maintenance, or inspection, with a strong understanding of refinery processes and equipment.Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as API, ASME, and OSHA regulations.Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and radiographic testing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make sound recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
