Actuarial Consultant

DescriptionMilliman’s Dubai Health Practice is looking for an actuarial professional with more than 6 years of experience, who has a strong desire to expand their actuarial skills, is committed to obtaining Fellowship, and has a career goal of becoming an actuarial consultant.Educational RequirementsAn undergraduate degree pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work,A minimum of 10 actuarial exams with a recognized professional actuarial organization – preferably Associate level reachedOutstanding academic recordExcellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint etc.)Experience And Skill RequirementsMinimum 6 years of actuarial experience, with at least part of the experience in health-related workSuperior math aptitude and strong analytical abilityExperience with reserving and pricing techniques for health insurance productsWorking knowledge of actuarial concepts specific to health systems, such as utilisation vs cost, clinical coding systems, Diagnosis-Related Groupers, value-based healthcare etcClient facing experience, including drafting and reviewing of formal actuarial reports as well as presentation of technical content to senior stakeholdersExcellent communication (both written and verbal)Good organizational skillsWillingness to learnAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to work under pressure
