Procurement Engineer

Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directlyKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.Forecast procurement needs and establish timelines for procurement activities.Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continually seek new suppliers to enhance supply chain efficiency.Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).Evaluate bids and proposals to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.Manage contract execution and ensure supplier adherence to contractual terms.Monitor and control procurement costs to meet budgetary constraints.Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the energy sector.Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Proficiency in procurement software and tools.Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the energy sector.Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
