Job Description

Job Overview: As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in automating high-volume financial processes, particularly within cryptocurrency operations. Leveraging your expertise in data analysis and automation, you will build robust dashboards, extract impactful insights from complex data, and empower data-driven decision-making across Finance and cross functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Data Population & Transformation:

• • Foster effective collaboration with IT and data engineering teams to secure and extract data from diverse sources, including BigQuery.
  • Manipulate data using industry-standard scripting languages (SQL, PowerQuery etc).
  • Design and maintain robust data pipelines ensuring the timely and accurate accessibility of data for analysis.

Data Analysis & Modelling:

• • Employ prescriptive analytics and design thinking methodologies to delve deeply into data, uncovering trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Architect efficient data models within BigQuery, optimizing data structures for rapid and insightful querying.
  • Leverage advanced statistical and analytical techniques to unearth hidden insights and answer critical business questions pertaining to performance and financial health.

Dashboard & Report Development:

• • Utilize Power BI to transform complex data into compelling narratives, fostering data-driven understanding.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports tailored to the diverse needs of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Masterfully utilize Power BI's advanced features, including custom visuals, to create captivating and insightful reports that breathe life into your data.

Communication & Collaboration:

• • Bridge the gap between data and decision-making by effectively communicating intricate financial and non-financial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate seamlessly across functions to understand their needs and tailor data solutions accordingly.
  • Meticulously document data sources, methodologies, and reports for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• • Advanced proficiency in SQL/BigQuery and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation.
  • 4 + years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Mastery of Power BI, including data modelling, DAX calculations, and best practices for data visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An advanced level of technical proficiency in Excel is a prerequisite.

Preferred:

• • Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT methodologies.
  • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Qlikview)
