Job DescriptionJob DescriptionExtendicare Eaux Claires is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Services Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all aspects of food service operations in our 204-bed long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. This is a key leadership position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional service.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Leadership:Oversee daily food service operations, including food preparation, serving, and sanitation.Supervise, train, and evaluate food service staff to ensure high standards of efficiency and service.Schedule staff, manage labor costs, and monitor productivity.Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with prescribed dietary regulations and guidelines.Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure resident satisfaction.Compliance And SafetyEnsure health and safety regulations compliance, including food handling and sanitation.Conduct regular inspections of food service areas and equipment to maintain safety and cleanliness.Implement and maintain safety protocols and training for food service staff.Budget ManagementAssist in managing the food service budget, including monitoring food inventory and supplies.Conduct regular inventory audits and implement cost-control measures.Resident EngagementInteract with residents to solicit feedback on meal preferences and dining experiences.Participate in resident care plan meetings as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a related field preferred.Minimum [5 years] of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office and food service management software.Time TypeFull timeWhen you choose to build your career with Extendicare, you’re joining a team dedicated to making a difference.
