Role       : Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics
Location : Abu Dhabi                            
Role Purpose:

• Support Head of Business Finance & Advanced Analytics in business intelligence, data analytics, and driving business growth through data-driven strategies.
• Responsible for driving the development of visually compelling dashboards, providing data-driven insights, and implementing strategies to enhance the bank's overall performance and profitability.
• Manage data platform performance management and ensure a robust control & governance framework around data flow.
• Providing insightful business commentaries and value-added analysis for targeted audience to aid decision making.
• Provide insight on the forecast, risks and opportunities and analzye overall performance patterns.
      
  Key Accountabilities of the role      
   
• Develop and implement strategies for the design, development, and deployment of interactive dashboards and insights using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other similar technologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and prioritize needs for dashboards and insights. 
• Act as a liaison between the Analytics Centre of Excellence and business units to ensure alignment on data and analytics initiatives.
• Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards, visualizations, and reports that communicate key performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Lead a team of business analysts and data visualization experts to ensure timely delivery of data and insights to key stakeholders.
• Identify and cultivate external partnerships with vendors and industry experts to bring new insights and capabilities to the bank.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data visualization, UI/UX design, and data storytelling. 
• Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure data quality and availability for dashboards and analytics.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and usability of dashboards and analytics.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security.Manage budget and resources for the dashboards and insights team, as well as other analytics initiatives.
• Liaise with product factories to develop and continuously update value proposition and fill key gaps.
• Manage ad hoc initiatives as they arise.
• Ensure data governance and control around data flow.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
 

• 
  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field, with a focus on building dashboards and delivering data-driven insights.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices, UI/UX design, and data storytelling.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and other similar tools, including data modeling and integration.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
• Proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven strategies and cultivating partnerships with external stakeholders.
