Senior MEP Manager

We are looking for a Senior MEP Manager for our P&DS team, to be based on site on a major Program in Riyadh, as part of a PMC. The role is primarily the delivery of project management services related to the MEP design, planning, phasing, co-ordination and construction of the phased and timely delivery on a large-scale multi-asset mixed use development incorporating a significant tunnel and road gyratory.

Undertake day to day delivery of all MEP management tasks.
Develop the client brief into Project MEP Execution Plan to suit the specific requirements of the project.
Undertake full MEP design management and manage design teams in the development of design solutions to meet the client’s expectations and budget.
Partake in the management and handling of local government approvals process.
Administer complex contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions.
Assist with the compilation of MEP tender documents and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
Develop project MEP documentation, programs, master budget etc.
Produce reports to suit relevant stages of the projects.
Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case/client brief stage, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
Monitor and report on the main and specialist sub-contractor’s progress against the contract program.
Oversee and witness Testing and Commissioning along with assisting the T&C Plan with the Contractor and CSC
Manage consultant/contractor teams to ensure that the contractor’s design is done in compliance with the contract.
Manage consultant/contractor teams to ensure that the built product is compliant with the contract.
Oversee the Construction Supervision Consultant and ensure they are undertaking their works in accordance with their contract.
Perform other related duties as required, supporting team members across disciplines and the wider team.

Desired skills and experience for this job:

Degree Qualification essential and master’s Qualification preferred.
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (Saudi Council of Engineers, IMechE, IET, CIBSE, ASHRAE etc).
+15 years’ experience in managing MEP related design and on site construction in the GCC region.
In country (KSA) experience advantageous.
Prior PMC Experience preferred.
Major international project experience is essential.
Strong technical knowledge and experience of MEP design and installation.
Experience with sustainable design solutions advantageous.
Strong background in Testing and Commissioning
International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
Strong client facing skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
Be proactive and able to work on own initiative.
Strong leadership skills in managing multiple projects, assets, and teams.
Excellent resource management, planning and time management skills.
