The Purpose of the Role
Honeywell Process Solutions is a pioneer in automation control, instrumentation and services for the oil and gas, refining, pulp and paper, industrial power generation, chemicals and petrochemicals, biofuels, life sciences, metals, minerals, and mining industries. The successful candidate will operate in role providing high level financial analysis as well as providing detailed cost analysis and control on allocated projects. The Sr. PP&C Analyst functionally reports to the Project Controls Manager, working closely with Operations, Program and Project Managers. The candidate will work on large and/or multiple projects and will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the update of project cost management tools along with project managers to measure, forecast and track project related work. Work is usually office based but depending on project requirements, the position will require travel to and / or work in remote Honeywell locations and customer facilities.
- Advance skills on analyzing project cost position in project business environment and implementation of standard
- Project Controls tool sets and work processes compliance on all assigned projects.
- Implement project scheduling standard and templates. Setup projects schedules, tracking, reporting, highlights deviations and proposes recovery plans.
- Accountable for consolidating and delivering accurate and timely project reports & forecasts for costs, revenue, billing etc.
- Ensure all project control activities such as cost management and control, project estimating and change management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements.
- Compile Cost data and present this to the Project / Business Manager on allocated projects.
- Analyze projects Incurred to Date (ITD) costs and Estimate to Complete (ETC) costs, providing variance analysis and reports to Project, Program and Business Management.
- Ensure quality of projects Estimate at Completion (EAC) cost forecast analysis and support Project Managers in managing and maximizing project margins.
- Supports the Project Management team with change management processes.
- Actively participates in project review meetings. Provides clear, accurate project assessments and gives proactive advice to drive successful project completion.
- Performs Earned Value and Project cost risk analysis.
- Oversee the receivables and payables balance on allocated projects, checking accuracy of invoices where necessary.
- Assist other project controls specialists as required.
- BS Engineering / Business or Finance degree.
- Extensive Project Management and Control related experience. Preferably PMP certified.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Automation or Electronics industry preferred.
- Degree in Business, Science or Engineering, Finance or Accounting or related field
- Experience as Business Analyst
- Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- User experience of SAP system
- Proficient Microsoft Office package skills e.g. Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
- Experience in financial data compilation, analysis and metrics management
- Project Management certification
