Job Description
Assets Controller
Job Purpose:
The Assets Controller is responsible for managing, monitoring, and safeguarding the company’s fixed assets. This role ensures that all assets are accurately recorded, properly utilized, maintained, and disposed of in line with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain an up-to-date register of all company assets (fixed and movable).
Track the movement of assets between departments, projects, or locations.
Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation of assets.
Ensure compliance with asset management policies and accounting standards.
Monitor asset utilization to avoid misuse, loss, or theft.
Coordinate with Finance for proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
Prepare reports on asset status, condition, and life cycle for management.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset-related data.
Recommend improvements in asset tracking systems, controls, and processes.
Train employees on policies related to asset care and accountability.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree in any related field.
Proven experience in asset management, inventory control, or accounting (3–5 years preferred).
Strong knowledge of asset accounting principles and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
