Job Description

  • Manage the effective achievement of Business Development objectives through the leadership of the Business Development– setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the Business Development
  • Prepare and recommend the Business Development budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
  • Analyse and monitor markets 
  • Analyse and monitor the current global markets and prepare a business plan to identify and develop new opportunities for the business.
  • Monitor all existing and prospective markets and assist to identify appropriate business opportunities and review all company products and develop and maintain professional relationships with all agents and clients
  • Prepare presentations to customer’s / partners executives and management teams to highlight business opportunities or to present the results.
  • Prepare documents and information for requests for proposals (RFPs). These RFPs often present new opportunities for business growth and enhanced operations, and develop the correspondent proposals
  • Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business. This can mean building cross-functional teams within the organization by connecting personnel across business lines, or managing external vendor and supplier relations.
  • Manage customer relations to increase the business’s visibility and reputation.
  • Support in organizing and attending the company internal / external events, where the company is presented as exhibitor.
  • Ensure that all activities are monitored and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standards.
  • Plan and supervise the implementation of department’s projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objective.
  • Recommend an optimum organization structure for the Business Development so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner

Job Requirements

  • Academic and professional qualifications: B.A or B.Sc. Degree in Business Preferred MBA in Marketing &/or sales
  • Experience: +12 in Business Development. preferred Similar industry
  • Technical Specifications: Relationship Building Analysis
