Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Increase sales volume of xylem water pumps.
- This person is responsible for identifying new customers, consultants, end users, and contractors at all levels.
- Set professional sales tactics to develop relationships with those customers.
- Find ways to develop product awareness and benefits to targeted customers.
- Provide customers with quotations on time.
- This will require the candidate to require strong organizational and communication skills
- Achieve or exceed the sales targets set by the Company.
- Identify, solicit & maintain relationships & accounts with new & existing customers.
- Obtain contracts for pumps and related equipment.
- Travel regularly to customers and prospective customers’ places of business.
- Develop quotations for new pumps, parts & related equipment as well as repairs.
- Create sales packages &support documentation for projects as required.
- Update the shared calendar and task lists in Outlook.
- Attend and participate in weekly and monthly sales meetings by making sure all task lists are updated and providing the status of open quotations
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3-5 years of sales experience.
- Knowledge of the design and operation of pumps, motors, mechanical seals, and other rotating equipment.
- Must project a strong customer focus and professional presentation.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Honesty and the highest ethical standards.
- Positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer literacy and competency with Windows-based programs and Microsoft Office.
