- We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Projects Director to lead the successful delivery of our multiple large-scale construction projects. This executive role is critical to our firm, requiring a seasoned leader to oversee project managers, drive operational excellence, and ensure complete alignment with the firm’s business goals, strict timelines, and exacting quality benchmarks.
- The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction executive with a proven, extensive track record of managing high-value projects. Crucially, candidates must possess significant, demonstrable experience in successfully managing large-scale hotels and hospitality construction projects.
- Key Responsibilities
- The Projects Director will provide comprehensive leadership and strategic oversight.
- Provide executive-level direction across all phases of project delivery—from initial planning and design through execution, commissioning, and close-out.
- Oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of construction projects, ensuring consistent achievement of scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives across all initiatives.
- Lead and mentor project management teams, fostering a high-performance culture defined by accountability, technical innovation, and professional excellence.
- Serve as the primary, high-level liaison between executive leadership, clients, external consultants, and general contractors, ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Proactively monitor and manage complex project risks, implementing robust mitigation strategies and resolving high-level challenges that could impact project success.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to all company policies, stringent safety regulations, and legal and statutory requirements.
- Contribute directly to strategic planning and business development through accurate project forecasting, meticulous performance analysis, and optimization of delivery methodologies.
- Drive and finalize critical contract negotiations and manage high-level, strategic vendor and stakeholder relationships.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required. A master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., MBA) is a distinct advantage.
- A minimum of 25 years of progressive experience within the construction sector is required, with at least 10 years operating in senior leadership or project director roles.
- Demonstrated, proven success in the executive oversight and delivery of mega-projects, including complex compounds, large-scale gated communities, resorts, commercial centers, and high-rise building developments.
- In-depth, expert-level understanding of all construction processes, sophisticated contract management (FIDIC knowledge preferred), and various project delivery models.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and executive-level stakeholder management skills are essential. The role requires fluency in English, coupled with superior verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong command and practical experience with modern project management tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and specialized construction software.
