**Main Responsibilities: **
- Develop robust and scalable web applications for high traffic products used 24x7 in a continuous delivery environment
- Prototyping and building highly performing and flexible components
- To write clean, secure and maintainable code.
- Optimising code for performance and scalability.
- Contribute to continually improving the software development processes of the development team.
- Contribute to the evolution of the overall product/system architecture
- Mentor junior software developers.
Job Requirements
**Requirements/Experience**
- 6+ years developing in PHP with a strong understanding of most popular design patterns
- Excellent knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Linux.
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming Experience.
- Comfortable with MVC frameworks
- Solid experience with Agile development methodologies.
- 3rd level degree in Software Development/Computer Science or related field.
**Other skills that will be highly regarded**
- Zend MVC Framework.
- Experience in AngularJS or React
- 3rd party APIs (Twitter, Facebook, Google, Amazon AWS, Stripe, PayPal, Xero etc.)
- Experience with high workloads, complex systems, service discovery, AWS or micro services a plus.
