Job Description
We are a fast-growing start-up online shipping company in Manhattan USA. We are looking for an Associate Accountant who is responsible for billing, branch office payroll and accounting. The idea candidate should be self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented, with good communication skills. The location of this position is in our Egypt Office at El Sheikh Zayed City, next to Saudi Market.
About the role
Billing
- Review and check bills from our suppliers, entry related billing information into our system.
- Analyze order and billing information, complete final billing as per company billing policy.
- Analyze billing and shipping data, timely report supplier’s error billing, operational mishandling etc., and provide improvement suggestions.
Payroll
- Manage and review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Process and issue employee payment and statements of earnings and deductions.
- Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll sheet.
Accounting
- Prepare and review office budget, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Accounting or Finance Bachelor’s Degree or above.
- At least 1 year solid experience in billing or payroll.
- Good oral and written ability in English.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills.
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a changing environment
- Strong learning and problem resolve abilities.
- Demonstrate strong sense of urgency and good time management skill.
- Working experience in shipping industry is preferred.
