Job Description

- At Innovation & Design Technologies, we help businesses push new innovations, create new products and strengthen their offerings in the market to remain competitive and grow their sales. We also run several national projects to create innovative developmental interventions to the communities of businesses and innovators.
- We are currently looking for a WordPress Content Developer enthusiast for our multiple digital channels. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing content creation for several online digital platforms.
- You’ll be working with a team of experts, science communication, graphics designers, marketers and copywriters. The content sought is, in Arabic and English.
- He or she should be able to craft excellent original content and be prepared to assist with other creative processes, such as storyboards, scripts, and the visual element of our content.
Job responsibilities is as following:
- Research WordPress plugins, themes that are needed to improve our digital channels
- Coordinate with WordPress developers updates for UI/UX as per best practices
- Writing and self-editing blog posts that are engaging, actionable, error-free, and following our style guide
- Creating your own featured images and screenshots for each blog post. Searching for the different graphics / visual elements needed for blog articles and website pages
- Researching tone of voice for the different channels and maintaining them for all content published
- Perform keyword research to identify target keywords. Use the keywords generated to coordinate and plan content
- Quick editing blog articles for tone of voice matching, SEO optimization, proofread results
- Quick editing of blog articles for visuals, logo insertion or images resizing / touching.
- Working closely with developers for new features on the digital channels
- Monitoring SEO rankings, Google Analytics and optimizing existing content to boost traffic and convergence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or related field
- Demonstrated success in managing the presence of relevant accounts online\offline
- Exceptional skill in social media writing
- Exceptional Skills in using WordPress for Marketing, Website creation, pages, layouts
- Experience collaborating with designers and giving recommendation on UI and UX best practices
- Solid understanding of SEO concepts preferred
- Basic PhotoShop / Lightroom/ Illustrator experience is preferred
- Strong communication, research, and typing skills
- Advanced WordPress.org Experience: This includes, writing and formatting posts and pages, working with themes, plugins, installing and configuring them, searching for themes and doing comparisons, follow-up with WordPress developers for problems and conduct basic troubleshooting.
- Arabic and English Editing: This includes, correct grammar and spelling, well-structured sentences, editing and proofreading your own and others works, assist and guide experts on how to structure and develop their content for online publishing. You can also search for the right media to include with publications including stock photos, videos, others.
- Basic Image Editing for use on the WordPress sites: this includes sourcing images, resizing and cropping, image compression, adding basic texts / Logo to the image
- SEO for content optimization: this includes: research keyword volume and search intent, effective and innovative utilization of keywords in the WordPress pages and content generated.
- Analyze the results of your content in Google Analytics, understand the results, and develop action plan for improved convergence
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects and lead others to grow our channels
