Job Description
- Manage the factory ensuring high quality business activities with maximum efficiency, production, service and profitability for the organisation.
- Ensure that the team understands that the factory’s profits and achievements are reflected in all its operations and activities– including relationships and risk management
- Meet your targets and those of the team as a whole

- Manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the factory
- Utilize appropriate systems to manage factory production, functions, analysis and documentation
- Direct the development of plans for the factory and production to achieve targets
- Developing plans for the factory’s progress, production improvement and general growth
- Support to all other units/departments with related issues
- Subject to agreed criteria, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise and manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met
- Preparing production Reports (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis and submitting them to key decision-makers or as otherwise required
- Developing plans for team activities to include strategy to achieve targets
- Assist in the development and preparation of the strategy and general business planning of both the factory and the organisation as a whole.
- Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review
- Set an example for team members of commitment, leadership, work ethics and habits and personal character
- Maintain accurate records
- Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls
- Apply all organisation policies and procedures

- Managing and leading continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the facilities and processes.
- Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
- Conduct optimization studies and perform detailed engineering analysis of existing facilities, systems & process equipment.
- Lead and support root cause analysis when issues arise and suggest corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain KPI targets in line with business strategy.
- Assist in the training of staff ensuring that they develop the skills to become subject matter experts in various systems and processes; enabling them to implement and sustain the improvements.
- Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
- Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.
- Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
- Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
- Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.
- Create and Enforce Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures.
- Create and Implement Machine Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
- Scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Monitoring the factory staff performance, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Enforcing the compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
