Provide subject matter expertise in IP Core operations, IP/MPLS Network management.
Configuration of MPLS Layer-2 (VPLS, VLLs), Layer-3 VPNs on IP Core Routers.
Configuration of new required services.
Troubleshooting of existing network, MPLS Customers, E1s/TDM and ADS services.
Participate in new or existing service testing and service integration.
Sound understanding and implementation skills of routing Protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF), MPLS (RSVP & LDP)
QoS implementation for different type of Traffic (Data, Voice, Signaling and O&M).
Rectification and Optimization of existing network nodes involving Version and patch upgrade for P/PE nodes .
Attending all planned activities at any time pertaining services such as migration, testing, Commissioning, upgrading, downgrading, planned troubleshooting of services.
Assist teams IP Core Networks in commencement, execution and delivery of several projects.
Auditing the configuration of the network and preparing reports of the findings.
Preparing Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports with respect to bandwidth utilization, port utilization, requests provisioned, network statistics and any other reports related to Omantel network.
Monitoring IP/Tx Network Alarms on U2000 and report generation from Report Sever.
Creating TT’s, WO, C.R’s using available ticketing systems

3 - 4 years experience on Noc operation as L1 in IP domain or Transmission domain
Experience on IP & optical nodes mainly Huawei and Nokia
Experience in Fault Management – E2E Fault Identification, Analysis, Reporting, Follow-up till Resolution, Reporting, Notification
Familiar with Change Management Notification/Reporting/Follow-up
Experience in Reporting Management – Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Half-Yearly Reporting as per Customer & Management requirement.
