Job Description
To lead/participate in complex Finance-related projects in order to define, develop, review and improve internal Finance processes and controls. ensuring effective financial control across a business, to ensure it is compliant with relevant, regulation and accounting standards. Analyze budget proposals, determining funding allocations, defending budget recommendations against various stakeholders and forecasting future financial requirements.
Reporting to : CFO
Job Responsibilities;
- Leads assigned complex divisional Finance projects (including the development of business requirements and effective project plans) and processes, providing cross-functional consultation or guidance in order to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leads/participates in the process to evaluate and define assigned Finance concepts. Focuses on developing a thorough understanding of the concept, advising on innovative and realistic solutions based on requirements, technology and constraints.
- Advises/supports the Finance (senior) management team in the timely and effective resolution of issues and ensures implementation of required changes to (Finance-related) processes or applications (e.g. month-end close, vendor payments, customer invoicing etc).
- Assists senior management in conducting effective on-floor Egypt Express and vendor audits to ensure compliance to standard processes and regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Performs analysis of audit issues & develops corrective actions.
- Engaging with finance and business leaders to advocate and communicate what good financial control looks like in practice and ensure appropriate action is taken when necessary
- Proactively suggests cost control and cost avoidance measures for the company revenue processes, and participates in negotiations for better rates with the vendor.
- Perform analysis on all management control policies.
Job Requirements
- BA in commerce preferably in English Understanding the macro business environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience finance including At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
- Internal or external audit experience an advantage
- AXAPTA system experience is a must
- Knowledge of regulations and legislation affecting Finance
- Experience of leading complex cross functional/ divisional projects
- Experience of complex qualitative & quantitative analysis
- Fluent in English language
- Must demonstrate full compliance with all legal requirements and all relevant policies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.
- Highly analytical mindset. Excellent mathematical aptitude.
- Good problem solving skills & attention to detail.
