Job Description

The Accountant position is part of our Finance and Accounting team. The team is generally tasked with account receivable and payable, fixed assets, taxes, inventory management, budgeting, reports and financial statements, legal compliance and financial control, and record-keeping. As an Accountant, your main tasks will be preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, Assisting with electronic tax returns and audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. As an accountant, you should have a general understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and strong financial analysis skills. 

Reporting to and supervised by Senior Accountant & Chief Accountant.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all accounting operations
Coordinate collection, depositing, and be the point of contact for all banking transactions
Collect, analyze and summarize account information
Develop periodic reports for management
Gather, track, analyze and present summarized accounting information
Assisting with preparing balance sheets and profit and loss statements
Identify bottlenecks and suggest solutions
Track financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
Adhere to all accounting principles
Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end close process
Manage financial data security and implement digital security measures and practices
Stay up to date with industry trends, rules and regulations of the Arab Republic of Egypt

 

Job Requirements

Certificates and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 year of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related area
  • Any additional training and certification in Accounting, Finance will be considered an advantage

Technical skills

  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations

Software skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
  • Odoo experience is preferred
