Job Description

  • Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
  • Review the daily checklist for the corporate wide directory services in order to ensure that all services are up and running
  • Check all company IT services such as domain service, e-mail service, internet access, SCALA system, SUN system and other application logs.
  • Review users needs and use information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements
  • Consult with users, management, vendors and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements
  • Determine the source of supplying customers needs internally or externally
  • Setting project plan including all stages and responsibilities
  • Contact external suppliers to get the best offer to meet users needs
  • Analyze current system and network capability to develop computer information resources in order to provide data security and control
  • Design needed IT infrastructure to achieve data security and control
  • Procurement for hardware & software to implement the design
  • Provide ongoing management and administration for all services Design, implement and manage disaster recovery solutions
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and surfing the Internet and check IT forums and RSS feeds
  • Test the new technologies on virtual environment such as new operating systems and new Microsoft office applications
  • Act as a mentor and second line support for SR IT Support Specialists and IT Support Specialists
  • Respond to technical support requests in person, via phone, or by email
  • Diagnose, resolve technical hardware, software and operation issues
  • Perform Quality check after solving problems for end-user
  • Use a proactive check list to reduce the rate of problems in each PC
  • Supervise Setup of equipment for end-users
  • Perform and ensure proper installation of Networks, Systems.
  • Review and approve all systems charts and programs prior to their implementation
  • Prepare a technical and financial proposal for the new projects
  • Plan and manage new projects implementation
  • Review project plans regularly with the IT Director
  • Assign daily tasks to staff
  • Receive users complaints
  • Determine priorities of each complaint according to severity
  • Set deadline for each task
  • Follow up the completion of the task
  • Confirm with the user that the problem is solved
  • Analyze and evaluate the current technology use
  • Recommend the appropriate improvements
  • Test new technologies on virtual environment to ensure functionality before implementation
  • Review the status and progress of each project with the team members
  • Prepare reports for each project to show the status and the progress of projects
  • Review operational logs and Submit reports to the IT director
  • Design and implement backup schedule for the whole company
  • Review backup jobs for all services
  • Work on the development and the improvement of the day to day activities for better performance and to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Comply with the company’s policies and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • BSc of Computer Engineering / Communication Engineering / Computer Sciences
  • +10 years of IT Support experience
  • ITIL Foundation
