Job Description
- We are looking for a WordPress/PHP developer who is interested in creating/customizing WordPress themes and plugins in order to build modern, elegant, stable websites. You will be responsible for architecting and building WordPress themes/plugins with a commitment to perfection.

Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality into WordPress themes and plugins.
- Convert design assets (Sketch, Photoshop, Invision, Xd) into component-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Designing and developing WordPress themes from scratch, as well as modify and customize existing themes.
- Create extendible WordPress plugins, as well as modifying and customize existing plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience working as a WordPress/PHP developer.
- Knowledge of {{object-oriented}} programming and implementing it into PHP/WordPress code.
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development and implementing new theme-based features, plugin-based features, working with custom content types.
- Solid understanding of WordPress and PHP Development best practices
- Skilled in front-end development with a focus on cross-browser support
- Firm grasp of the front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML responsive pages
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
- Comfortable working with debugging tools such as Chrome developer tool etc.
- Ability to write well-documented and clean code.
- Experience with the Laravel framework is plus.
- Experience with E-commerce is a plus.
- English Skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English).
