Job Description
Purpose of the job:
Site engineers perform a technical, organizational, and supervisory role on construction projects, setting out and determining the location for above and underground infrastructural installations involved in construction operations and ensure the project stays on schedule.
Accountabilities and Duties:
- Act as the main technical advisor on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives
- Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
- Ensure that all materials used, and work executed are as per specifications.
- Communicate with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and instantly report it to the project manager and/or the project director.
- Checking and preparing site reports and drawings.
- Set out the works in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
- Check materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.
Job Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in the construction field.
- Must be ready to travel to locations outside greater Cairo for medium to long periods.
