Job Description
The homeroom teacher is expected to
- Set, arrange and decorate the classroom to make an active and productive learning environment.
- Plan and create lesson plans and instructional material.
- Meet regularly with teachers sharing the same grade level.
- Meet regularly with the heard of the department to ensure the alignment with the scope and sequence.
- Closely follow the quarter plans as set by the head of departments, update regularly the progress.
- Use different resources and material to facilitate differentiated instruction.
- Abide by the all official resources available including physical and digital as instructed by the head of the department.
- Suggest possible supplementary resources to the head of department when necessary.
- Encourage and guide students to use different resources.
- Give constructive feedback on student’s performance.
- Evaluate the individual performance of the students.
- Evaluate the overall performance of the class.
- Set an individual plan for struggling students and approve it from the head of departments.
- Responsible for reporting students grades and performance.
- Use the school LMS as the main communication channel between the teacher and other stakeholders.
- Prepares and participates in the school events and activities.
- Suggest cross curriculum activities and projects.
- Participate in the mentor program when necessary.
- Do peer observations.
- Take part in the PLC program when necessary.

- Early years certificate
- Minimum experience of 3 years as homeroom teacher in an American school
