Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for innovative medical devices and products.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
- Conduct engineering analysis such as stress, thermal, and tolerance studies to validate design integrity and performance.
- Participate in design reviews, provide technical input, and implement feedback to optimize product functionality and manufacturability.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and evaluation, making iterative improvements based on test results.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design processes, changes, and specifications.
- Support the transition of products from design to manufacturing, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in design methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering roles.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with design validation, prototyping, and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
