Job Description

  • Manage the production of technical drawings and plans 
  • Manage distribution and production of project workload within team
  • Collaborate on new design issues and research projects with team.
  • Ensure projects and finished graphics are accurate and precise.
  • Project prioritization of design, assignment and management to designers.
  • Evaluate and motivate designers toward continued growth and leading design solutions.
  • Participate in departmental strategic planning.
  • Assist technically internal and external customers.
  • Supervise the review and approvals of shop drawings, Material Submittals with respect to the project Specification and Standards.
  • Monitoring, coaching and developing the Section Engineering team members.
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
  • Manage providing drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings.
  • Manage researching design options and document findings.
  • Drive forward product development, innovation and ‘think outside the box’ to generate engineering advantage for customers, thinking creatively to develop new/improved solutions.
  • Identify and implement design improvements (functionality, cost, design for manufacture).
  • Assist at the design coordination and as-built drawings.
  • Support the purchase requests for project materials.
  • Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
  • Attend meetings with consultants and/or designers of any projects to discuss technical matters and coordinate approval of shop drawings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design or related.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Construction and Engineering industry.
  • Working as Technical Office Manager for c Companies or Engineering consultants or Manufacturing companies 5+ years in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Extensive experience in operations, engineering, site works, construction/site management, technical office, project evaluation and technical office management. Strong project management and negotiation skills Technical skills and the ability to use design and project management software
