Job Description
Reports To: Student Service Associate Director
Job Objective: Student Life Manager provides overall strategic leadership, program development, and day-to-day management to the student life department, which oversees student government, student organizations & activities, student conduct, student well-being, student housing, residence life and related services.
Responsibilities
Duties Weight Student Activities Advising and Development
- Plans, directs and manages the development of co-curricular programs that encourages student personal growth and development through variety of learning and development areas including student governance, student organizations, student initiatives and activities.
- Manages student life budget in a fiscally responsible manner.
Student Well-being
- Oversees the function of student wellbeing in a variety of circumstances such as student complaints and concerns, residence life, athletics and health services.
- Liaison with clinic security, and other emergency and safety services.
- Manages the developing materials to assist students with researching for safe, affordable housing off-campus including maps, knowledge of Cairo neighborhood, list of landlords, tips for leasing a flat and lease review service, maintaining community contacts and updating the website. Regular updates for off-campus housing options.
Student Life Events
- Sets the strategy and develops the calendar and budget of student life events andinitiatives.
- Manages student life budget in a fiscally responsible manner.
Student Conduct
- Creates the student conduct process and supervise the enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct.
Student Orientation
- Heads and orchestrate, in collaboration with staff, faculty and students, the development and execution of Student Orientation Program.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate a strong student life and engagement skills on a university level.
- Exceptional and effective organizational and time management skills
- Possess strong collaboration, motivation and enthusiasm about student success and improving the overall student experience.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty and staff while being able to work independently under minimal supervision is essential.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills

Years of Experience: 8+ years in student life within the student affairs department
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
